The Roots that Clutch
Beal contributed several smaller paintings to a group exhibition by emerging artists at the Garden Museum, London, inspired by T.S. Eliot’s The Waste Land. Beal has a clear focus on history and narrative in paintings such as Seer which reflects the character Tiresias who had the mystical gift of seeing into the future.
